Dermatology Services We Offer
Acne Management
Many people experience acne well past their teenage years. This inflammatory skin condition causes blackheads and whiteheads found mostly on the face, but also commonly found on the shoulder, back, chest, and arms. Our dermatologists tackle severe, persistent acne through treatment options like antibiotics, topical gels and creams, and prescription medication like hormonal birth control pills.
Eczema
This skin condition is most commonly found in children, and is characterized by dry, itchy rashes that can spread through scratching. Our dermatologists frequently prescribe topical corticosteroids to treat eczema.
Alopecia
Excessive hair loss is called alopecia. Our dermatologists can stimulate hair regrowth through topical, injectable, and internal medications through a customized treatment plan.
Psoriasis
An autoimmune disorder, psoriasis is an unpredictable disease that occurs from skin cell buildup that leads to dry, scaly, itchy, discolored patches that are most commonly found on the knees, elbows, and scalp. Treatment can significantly improve your quality of life and some people even achieve complete remission. Some treatment options include topical prescriptions, topical steroids, ointments and shampoos, oral drugs, and light therapy.
Rosacea
Skin redness, or rosacea, often begins on the cheeks and spreads to the nose and the rest of the face and neck. Treatment for this chronic skin disease can lessen the symptoms and curb breakouts. Treatments may include topical medication, emollients, V-Beam Perfecta® laser therapy, dermabrasion, and oral drugs like antibiotics. Our dermatologists can also help you learn what triggers your rosacea.
Wart, molluscum, and skin tag removal
These skin growths can be unsightly and embarrassing, and in the case of warts and molluscum, also contagious. Warts and molluscum are removable through freezing and laser treatment, among other treatments. Skin tags are benign skin growths that pose no threat, but they can cause cosmetic concerns or be bothersome if they rub against clothing. We offer several options for professional skin tag removal.
Leg vein services
Our dermatologists offer varicose vein and spider vein treatments to free you of symptoms of possibly itchy, achy, burning legs. We offer simple, virtually painless, office-based procedures like endovenous laser treatment (EVLT) and microphlebectomy for varicose veins, as well as sclerotherapy and precision laser treatment for spider veins.
Skin checks and biopsies
The American Academy of Dermatology recommends annual mole checks and skin cancer screenings to detect various types of growths that could be malignant (cancerous). With early detection, skin cancer is very treatable. The different types of skin cancer include actinic keratoses, basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, and melanoma. The most common and most deadly type of skin cancer is melanoma.
