About
Benjamin Christiansen is a Clinical Neuropsychologist with over 20 years of experience specializing in diagnosing and treating various neurological disorders. He moved to Layton after his parents retired from the Air Force and graduated from Layton High School. He completed an LDS mission in Salta, Argentina, and met his wife upon returning to Utah.
Dr. Christiansen's clinical focus covers traumatic and acquired brain injuries, neurodegenerative disorders, neurotoxins, and cognitive disorders. He focuses on early detection, offering testing for a comprehensive understanding and diagnosis of cognitive health in patients aged 7 to 90+.
He and his staff offer several neuropsychological tests, including academic testing, developmental screenings, brain mapping, physiological evaluation, BrainScope for traumatic brain injury (TBI) and concussion evaluation, and ImPACT assessments for cognitive changes and recovery tracking.
Outside of work, Dr. Christiansen enjoys culinary arts and yearly trips across the US to discover the best regional food. Known for his cheesecake and artisan bread, he owns over 200 cookbooks from which he has cooked most of the recipes. Additionally, he is contracted with the National Hockey League (NHL) to provide post-retirement evaluations for players with traumatic brain injuries and offers training for the Utah Foster Care Foundation.
