Procedures / Treatments

  • BCG Bladder Cancer Treatments A treatment for non-invasive, high-grade bladder cancer. The immunotherapy medication is instilled directly into the bladder through a catheter.
  • Bladder Botox Botox is the brand name for botulinum toxin. The injectable medication can relax the bladder muscle and ease incontinence symptoms such as urgency to pass urine. Bladder Botox treatment is used when the condition does not respond to medication that is traditionally used to treat incontinence. The procedure is generally well tolerated by men and women and needs to be repeated every six to nine months.
  • BPH (Enlarged Prostate) An enlarged prostate can make urinating difficult and increase frequency. Options are available to manage BPH symptoms and even treat the condition with minimally-invasive steam therapy.
  • Cystoscopy A diagnostic procedure that allows a physician to examine the bladder lining, collect urine samples and biopsies, remove small stones, and examine the prostate gland and tube that carries urine out of your body (urethra). A small camera called a cystoscope is inserted into the urethra and slowly advanced into the bladder to assist in diagnosing urinary tract and prostate disease.
  • Erectile Dysfunction Treatment options are available for this common type of male sexual dysfunction (life style change, implants, medication, vacuum pump, etc.).
  • Infertility The inability of a couple to reproduce by natural means which may be treated by medical intervention.
  • Laparoscopic Tubal Reversal A minimally invasive surgical procedure performed through small abdominal incisions to restore fertility after a woman has had a tubal ligation. A camera mounted on a long lens is inserted through the base of the navel to project images on a video monitor. The blocked segments of the fallopian tubes are reconnected to the remainder of the fallopian tubes.
  • Percutaneous Tibial Nerve Stimulation Also known at PTNS is a minimally invasive form of neuromodulation used to treat an overactive bladder. The treatment is a weekly outpatient visit to the urologist for twelve weeks with monthly treatments thereafter.
  • Peyronie’s Disease Peyronie's disease is an abnormal curvature of the penis caused by scar tissue in the erectile tissue. Because the scar tissue prevents straightening of the penis, the curvature is most obvious during an erection. The curvature may be so severe that it prevents penetration during intercourse. Peyronie's disease usually affects men who are 50 and older.
  • Prostate Ultrasound and Biopsy A procedure to evaluate abnormal results of a digital rectal exam or an elevated prostate-specific antigen (PSA) blood test. A prostate ultrasound involves a probe about the size of a finger that is inserted a short distance into the rectum. The probe produces harmless high-frequency sound waves that are recorded and transformed into images of the prostate gland to visualize the prostate. The ultrasound imaging is used to guide a small biopsy needle into the prostate. The needle removes small amounts of tissue to be analyzed. Results of the procedure will assist physicians in diagnosing prostate disorders and diseases.
  • Robotic Prostatectomies da Vinci Surgical System is a robotic surgical platform used in a robotic prostatectomy at Ogden Clinic that translates a specially trained surgeon's hand movements into precise micro movements and offers a progressive, minimally invasive option for major surgery.
  • Robotic Surgery The da Vinci Surgical System is a robotic surgical platform that translates a specially trained surgeon's hand movements into precise micro movements. Da Vinci robotic surgery offers a progressive, minimally invasive option for major surgery.
  • Scrotal Lesion Removals A removal of a lump that can be felt in the skin of the scrotum. The lesion or growth may result from a variety of factors. The findings from such a procedure are commonly benign. A biopsy or removal can provide diagnosis and treatment.
  • Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) Urinary tract infections occur when bacteria, usually from the skin or rectum, enter the urethra and infect the urinary tract.
  • Urodynamics A diagnostic study of the bladder that is used in the diagnosis of bladder problems like incontinence and retention. The test shows how well the bladder, sphincters, and urethra are storing and releasing urine. The tests also measures the bladder’s ability to hold urine and empty completely. Urodynamics testing also determines if the bladder is having involuntary contractions that cause urine leakage.
  • Vaginal Rejuvenation A non-surgical treatment to restore vaginal tissue tone and elasticity with CO2RE laser technology. Vaginal rejuvenation also improves stress incontinence, vaginal lubrication, and appearance.
