Procedures / Treatments

  • Abscess Draining Ogden Clinic physicians diagnose and treat abscesses often, usually through draining the sore. Abscesses are not difficult to drain but should be drained professionally. Schedule an appointment today if you have a sore larger than 1 cm or if it continues to grow.
  • Acne Treatment Depending on the type, location, and severity of your acne, Ogden Clinic dermatologists use a number of treatment plans. These include topical medication, oral medication, or a combination of the two.
  • ADHD Carefully monitored medication combined with cognitive-behavioral therapy helps to improve ADD/ADHD in children and adults.
  • Asthma Management Asthma management will involve taking your prescribed medication as directed by your Ogden Clinic physician and avoiding known asthma triggers
  • Casting Orthopedic casting is the most effective way to treat a fracture or a broken bone. Ogden Clinic specialists use cotton and fiberglass bandages to immobilize injuries and promote recovery.
  • Cholesterol Management A treatment plan designed by a healthcare provider to lower a patient’s cholesterol level. A plan includes recommendations for improved lifestyle, diet, weight, and physical activity. Other risk factors are also assessed that can affect a patient’s cholesterol level. In some cases, cholesterol-lowering medications may also provide additional benefit to managing a healthy cholesterol level. Cholesterol management also involves decreasing the LDL cholesterol (“bad” cholesterol) and making sure HDL (“good” cholesterol) is at recommended levels. Patients and healthcare professionals work together to help improve and maintain heart health and reduce the risk for cardiovascular disease and stroke.
  • Concussions & TBI A bump, blow, jolt, or other head which cases injury and damage to the brain. The effects can be minor to severe.
  • Contraception Contraception or birth control is a method or device used to prevent pregnancy. These methods include IUD, Nexplanon, birth control pills, vaginal rings or injections.
  • Cystoscopy A diagnostic procedure that allows a physician to examine the bladder lining, collect urine samples and biopsies, remove small stones, and examine the prostate gland and tube that carries urine out of your body (urethra). A small camera called a cystoscope is inserted into the urethra and slowly advanced into the bladder to assist in diagnosing urinary tract and prostate disease.
  • Diabetes Treatments related to diabetes and how the body handles blood sugar.
  • High Blood Pressure (Hypertension) High blood pressure is another word for the condition. Blood pressure measures the force against artery walls as the heart pumps blood through the body.
  • Ingrown Toenail Our providers can address ingrown toenails that are infected or painful.
  • Mole Biopsy Suspicious moles should be evaluated by a medical professional who can determine if they are cancerous. During mole biopsy, all or part of the mole is removed for laboratory analysis.
  • Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Exacerbation Management Ogden Clinic neurologists and their team are trained to assist MS patients in the treatment and prevention of acute exacerbations.
  • Skin Tags Skin tags are a relatively common annoyance, usually presenting themselves on the head and neck area. It is unclear how or why skin tags develop, but they become more and more common as we age – 60% of people 70 years or older have multiple skin tags at any given time.
  • Spirometry Test Spirometry is a test used to measure the amount of air inhaled and exhaled. This test is used to assess how well the lungs are functioning.
  • Sports Injuries - Nonsurgical (Musculoskeletal) For common sports injuries including sprains, strains, and tears, contact the specialists at Ogden Clinic in Utah for sports medicine and physical therapy.
  • Wart Removal Painful or embarrassing warts can be removed several ways. We perform cryotherapy, chemical peels, or even minor surgery to remove warts. Medication is also effective depending on the size and type of wart.
  • Well Child Checkups The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) developed a set of comprehensive health guidelines for well-child care that are conducted during well child checkups. These routine visits include growth and development monitoring, preventative care, and vaccinations if needed.
  • Wilderness Medicine This specialization draws from emergency medicine, environmental medicine, and sports medicine to provide healthcare to patients in extreme situations.
  • Women’s Health and Wellness Women’s healthcare addresses conditions that affect a woman’s physical and emotional well-being. This includes:
    • Preventive care: Pap smears, breast and pelvic exams
    • Sexual health: Family planning, and reproductive exams, screenings and treatments
