About
Elizabeth Thompson is a native of Ogden, Utah, and received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Weber State University. She carries certification and Utah licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse. Her nursing career began as a Registered Nurse in home health and hospice. She’s also cared for patients doing case management, mental health, and infection prevention. Prior to joining Ogden Clinic, Elizabeth worked in internal medicine doing geriatric care and preventive medicine (such as cancer screening and chronic illness management).
Elizabeth’s true passion is diabetes management as she is a Type 1 diabetic herself. She relates deeply to patients who live with chronic illness and has even completed volunteer work for the American Diabetes Association in various camps for children and families dealing with diabetes. Elizabeth has extensive experience with insulin pump management, continuous glucose monitoring, and carbohydrate counting.
In her free time, Elizabeth enjoys swimming and recently learned out to scuba dive. Her favorite thing to do is spend time with her children and family.
