Dennis Winters, MD

About

Dennis D. Winters, M.D., is a Board Certified neurosurgeon. After obtaining a B.S. in Pharmacy at the Medical College of Virginia, he worked as a Pharmacist until 1993. He attended Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia, and completed his neurosurgical training at the University of Kansas Medical Center in 1999.

Dr. Winters became Board Certified with the American Board of Neurological Surgery in 2002. Prior to establishing his practice in Ogden, Utah in July of 2007, he worked at Central Maryland Neurosurgical Spinal Specialists in Frederick, Maryland for eight years. He was awarded “Top Doc” by Frederick Magazine in 2006 by a vote of his peers.

His professional memberships include the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, Congress of Neurological Surgery, North American Spine Society, American Medical Association, and Utah Medical Association. Dr. Winters has a special interest in minimal access spinal technology (MAST). A major spine company has contracted Dr. Winters as part of a visiting surgeon’s program in the Northwest to teach these techniques.
