Urgent Care vs ER

The Emergency Room (ER) is meant for life-threatening emergencies, which is why it’s usually staffed 24/7. The ER staff can handle trauma, surgical procedures, and other life-threatening situations. Ogden Clinic Urgent Care is not open 24 hours per day, but all of our locations have evening and weekend hours to serve your family.

Head to the ER If You experience any condition that is life-threatening or requires immediate attention, such as:

  • Allergic reactions that affect breathing or consciousness
  • Compound fracture (or a break that needs immediate surgery)
  • Chest pain
  • Deep wounds
  • Difficulty breathing
  • Mental health crisis
  • Pain, bleeding, or abnormalities during pregnancy
  • Persistent vomiting
  • Severe bleeding
  • Severe burns
  • Severe head injuries
  • Seizure
  • Traumatic injuries
  • Unconsciousness
